Nappy Brown

Check out this great rhythm & blues artist, Napoleon Brown Goodson Culp.  Born in 1929 in Charlotte, No. Carolina, he grew up in the church, and sang both gospel and blues music. Between 1955 and 1961, Brown had a string of hit singles. His song "The Right Time" was later recorded by Ray Charles. He was an incredible singer with a dynamic stage presence. Here are some of my favorite Nappy Brown tunes. Absolutely outstanding.
