Phil Spector

The originator of the "Wall of Sound" production technique, Phil Spector was a pioneer of the 60's girl group sound and produced over 25 Top 40 hits between 1960 - 1965. He was part of The Teddy Bears and wrote and performs on To Know Him Is To Love Him. It charted at #1 and sold one million copies in 1958.
