remembering 1965

Happy New Year to all. I'm going to start this year with a reflection of the past, the year is 1965. The latest craze in kids toys was the Super Ball and the Skate Board. Women's skirts got shorter and men's hair grew longer. The miniskirt makes it's appearance. The voting rights movement launches  a number of marches and brings change and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. The big screen brought us The Sound Of Music, Mary Poppins and on the tube we watched Bonanza, The Red Skelton Show and Bewitched. Here are some tunes released that year. I really love this music.

Do I Make Myself Clear  -  Sugar Pie DeSanto w/ Etta James
That's Where The Action is  -  The Fantaisions
Ask Anybody  -  The Ad Libs
Mustang Sally  -  Sir Mack Rice
Don't Mess With Bill  -  The Marvelettes
You've Got Me Uptight  -  Evie Sands
Tired Of Being Lonely  -  The Sharpees
Nowhere To Run  -  Martha Reeves & The Vandellas
She Knocks Me Out  -  Harold Burrage
Monkey Man  -  Baby Huey & The Babysitters
Don't Mess Up A Good Thing  -  Fontella Bass & Doug McClure
My Girl  -  Otis Redding
